Public Opinion on Border 2

Public Opinion on Border 2

For the past two days I have been reading a lot of comments about Border 2 on social media, one thing becomes very clear, people can’t agree on this movie.

Most audiences don’t fully love the film, nor hate it. They seem kinda confused.

A big reason some people went to watch the movie is nostalgia. The first part meant a lot to many viewers, and Border 2 tries hard to bring back those emotions. They talk about certain scenes giving them goosebumps, mainly when Sunny Deol is on screen. Even people who criticized the movie admitted that his scenes were really impactful.

But the same things that work for some viewers don’t work for others.

A common complaint is that the movie is too long. Many people said it drags, especially in the second half. Scenes go on longer than needed, and emotions are repeated again and again. Some people felt the film didn’t trust them to understand what was happening, so it kept pushing the same message loudly.

Another big issue people talked about is the vfx. A lot of comments say the CGI looks bad and feels fake, especially during war scenes. This bothered viewers because it pulled them out of the story. Some even said the old Border looked more real, even though it was made many years ago.

The acting also divided people. Sunny Deol is mostly praised, and Diljit Dosanjh also gets positive comments for acting naturally. Varun Dhawan, however, gets different reactions. Some felt he was not right for the role, while others said he was trolled too harshly online and actually did fine later in the movie. Ahan Shetty’s performance also got variable responses, some liked him, some didn’t.

What’s interesting is that most people don’t call Border 2 a useless film. Even negative comments often say the movie had potential. Many felt that with better editing, better effects, and less overacting, it could have been much stronger.

Audience verdict till now?

It’s mostly about emotion and disappointment together. People wanted the movie to be great because the original meant so much to them. Perhaps new talents were not able to perform on par with the last gen actors.
