The Boys final episode season 5 summary and review.
Hello boys and girls, welcome to another episode review on Fz max films. In this video we are going to talk about the 8th , that is the finale episode of the finale season of “The Boys”.
Yes, one of the most controversial and ridiculously plotted web series of our time has finally reached its end.
The final episode was all about Butcher with his small army of starlighters taking an attempt to take down Homelander with Kimiko, who developed an ability to neutralize superheroes and turn them into normal human beings.
The same power used by Soldier boy on BombSight in the last episode to take away his super powers.
The episode started on a pretty emotional setting with the funeral of Frenchie. The scene was really moving, even I had tears in my eyes thinking of all those seasons Frenchie made us smile with his comical moments and brilliant acting.
The event of Frenchie’s passing away triggered the neutralising ability inside Kimiko which he was working on before his death.
Kimiko was the only way Butcher could get his vengeance from Homelander after so long time.
So without wasting any time he plots to invade Homelander inside his office during a conference.
Homelander was supposed to deliver a speech for his followers which would make them believe he was the new God, the next saviour of their generation.
However he gets distracted during his speech which reminds him about his unfaithful son who deprived and insulted him few moments ago.
Now, at this moment I really expected him to go rogue and start an apocalypse on Earth lasering every living thing. Yes, really.
But here comes the moment which disappointed half the comic fans.
Butcher directly cracks into the conference room with the help of president Ashley, along with Kimiko and Hughie.
To our dismay, the fight between them was over within a few minutes and within the office room, forget apocalypse.
Fairly quick enough, Kimiko gets a chance to humanise Homelander and kills him with the most human way possible.
The last thing we wanted to see was the most evil man on Earth with so much blood in his hands dying in such a peculiar way.
A large scale apocalyptic fight scene would surely made the episode memorable in TV history.
Honestly, it felt like the makers were out of budget for the final episode. The way they developed the story through all these seasons was quite admirable.
Antony Starr who played homelander is still in my Top 3 best actors of all time list. Not gonna lie if it was someone else, we would not even be watching the show considering the ridiculous storyline.
But, then it is what it is, after homelander’s execution, Hughie kills Butcher due to some absurd reason which I am not even interested to talk about.
Later, they show team members gets settled one by one leading a peaceful life. And that’s how the story ends.
The post credits showed a behind the scenes footage of the cast and crew. I got emotional watching that as it was clear, the boys was over. But I really home something comes up and they continue the story in future.
As a fan of the show I will really miss Homelander’s character. I know Antony is never gonna play it ever, but the way he enacted the role and the way it was written I think is one of the few masterpieces in TV history.
I wanted to specially express my feelings on this episode as it was a very emotional journey since 7 years now and it was hard to let it go.
Do let me know what do you think about the show. Thank you for staying by.
